- It is an effort to recognize excellence and impact across domains, including storytelling, social change advocacy, environmental sustainability, education, and gaming among others.
- It first-ever National Creator Awards is taking place on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri.
How were these awards presented?
- Over 1,50,000 nominations were received across 20 categories, with approximately 1 million votes cast in the voting phase for digital creators in various award categories.
- As a result, 23 winners were selected, including three international creators.
About the Award
- It was launched under Ministry of information technology has launched the ‘National Creators Award,’
- Content submission can be in English or any other Indian language.
- 19 categories are open exclusively to individuals of Indian nationality. One category is dedicated to international digital creators.
- Creators can self-nominate in a maximum of three categories. Those nominating others can propose nominations across all 20 categories.

- As per Goldman Sachs the total addressable market of the creator economy could roughly double in size over the next five years to $480 billion by 2027 from $250 billion today.
