Context:
A Temple Architecture Museum, showcasing the design, history, and culture of temples is set to begin in Ayodhya, next month.

- The museum, envisioned as a unique and first-of-its-kind initiative, will be developed by Tata Sons in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Culture and the Uttar Pradesh government, and will be constructed in Manjha Jamtara village, Ayodhya.
- The Uttar Pradesh government has finalized the allocation of 35 acres of land to Tata for the development of the museum, which officials have described as a first-of-its-kind initiative.
- The UP government has allocated 35 acres of land for the museum on a 90-year lease at Re 1 per annum.
- Vinayak Deshpande, known for his key role in the construction of the new Parliament building, will serve as a mentor for the temple museum project.
- The goal is to develop the museum into a world-class attraction for tourists from around the globe.
- The project will also display Sanatan culture through temple architecture.
- As per the plan, the project is expected to cost approximately ₹750 crore, with the majority of the funding coming from Tata’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) resources.
