Uttar Pradesh is set to become a hub for electronics manufacturing, with Havells India Limited establishing the first Electronics Manufacturing Centre on a 50-acre site within the state’s manufacturing cluster.

  • The electronics manufacturing cluster will be developed on 206 acres at a cost of ₹539 crore, with the Central Government contributing ₹144.48 crore and Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Area (YEIDA) providing ₹393.90 crore.
  • The project is set to begin on July 1, with a target to complete the work within three years.
  • It is in line with the Chief Minister’s vision, and world-class facilities are being developed to accommodate the growing investment in the state.

  • The project will feature 176 ready-to-use RCC factory sheds and two flat factory complexes, providing a total of 176 units to allow small and medium industries to begin production immediately.
  • A skill development centre will be set up to train local youth in electronics manufacturing, along with a convention centre and commercial complex.
  • The EMC will also include essential facilities like a bank, post office, primary health centre, and office space to meet industry needs.
