UPEIDA has completed the acquisition of over 2,040 hectares of land across six nodes (Aligarh, Kanpur, Lucknow, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, and Agra).
In the upcoming phase, over 110 additional MoUs are on track, with combined investment possibilities of more than ₹22,847 crore and an estimated 38,000 new jobs.

Land Allocation: So far, over 977.54 hectares of land has been allotted to 62 companies, which is expected to generate an investment of ₹11,997 crore and 14,256 direct jobs.
Regional Progress: Aligarh leads the way in land allocation, with 24 companies receiving land.
Kanpur allocated 210 hectares to five companies.
Jhansi has allocated 571 hectares to 17 companies.
Lucknow has allocated over 131 hectares to 16 companies.
The allotment process is also set to begin soon in the Chitrakoot and Agra nodes.
Integration with other schemes:Defence corridor is linked with ‘Make in India’ and ‘One District-One Product’ model to strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s industrial economy.
A prime example of Uttar Pradesh’s growing defense manufacturing capabilities is the BrahMos missile production unit established in the Lucknow node.
With this momentum, Uttar Pradesh is now competing strongly with states like Gujarat and Tamil Nadu in defence production.
