Context:
Uttar Pradesh won several awards under the Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari 1.0 (JSJB) initiativeat a ceremony held on 18 November 2025 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
- The awards were presented by President Droupadi Murmu, along with the 6th National Water Awards 2025, recognising the “outstanding work in water conservation” carried out by the state, which secured the first three slots in the Northern Zone.
- This year, 100 awards recognized contributions from states, districts, municipal bodies, NGOs, industries, philanthropists, and officials.

- Nodal officers from the Central Water Commission stationed in Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Gorakhpur secured the first, second, and third prizes, respectively, in the northern zone.
