Context: The Uttar Pradesh government is set to launch a new health policy focused on developing world-class medical infrastructure across Uttar Pradesh.

- Once implemented, the policy will remain in effect for five years and aims to attract private investment in the healthcare sector.
- The new health policy will be based on three models — Model A, B, and C.
- Model A :
- It will include 17 municipal corporation areas, including Noida and Greater Noida.In these regions, private investment will be encouraged to establish at least three super-specialty hospitals, each with a minimum of 200 beds.
- Hospitals to offer advanced services:
- Cardiology, Neurology, Urology
- Internal Medicine, Surgery, Radiation Therapy
- Oncology, Maternity Care, Gynecology
- Model B:
- It will target 57 district headquarters, where 200-bed hospitals will be set up.
- These hospitals will offer the same advanced services as those in Model A.
- Model C:
- It will focus on rural and underdeveloped areas across all 75 districts of UP.
- In this model, 100-bed hospitals will be established to provide general medical care, general surgery, and obstetrics and gynecology services.
- Significant incentives will be offered to attract private investors, including up to 100% stamp duty exemption on land purchases, priority for electricity connections, and expedited approvals (NOCs) for establishing hospitals.
- Development authorities or government agencies will provide land for hospitals at discounted rates.
