- Taking cognisance of this, the Uttar Pradesh Planning Department—acting as the nodal authority for Aadhaar-related matters—issued a fresh directive on November 24.

- Officials have reiterated that birth certificates, high-school mark sheets, and other prescribed documents should be used as valid proof for establishing the date of birth, especially in processes where age is a critical eligibility factor.
