- The amount will be spent on roads, drains, sewer lines, a sewage treatment plant, effluent treatment plant and power supply system.
- Under the Atal Industrial Infrastructure Scheme, the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) has initiated infrastructure development work.
- As part of this, land acquisition has been completed for an industrial corridor covering 132 hectares in the villages of Sarai Katiyan and Murtazanagar in the Unnao district.
- The construction of a 20-meter-wide, four-lane road to connect the industrial corridor with the Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway and the Ganga Expressway is also progressing rapidly.
- Out of 32 places in the state, Unnao district is the first district where the work of bringing the industrial corridor has started.
There are plans to set up over 200 enterprises in the industrial corridor, which will not only boost industrial growth but also drive overall development of the district, creating direct and indirect employment opportunities for more than two lakh people.
- Along with companies from Poland and the UAE, three other firms have begun preparations to establish their enterprises in the corridor, and many more are expected to start operations in the near future.
