Context:
The Uttar Pradesh government is mulling over developing theme parks in Mathura and Ayodhya by using urban waste and metal scrap on the lines of UP Darshan Park in Lucknow and Shivalaya Park in Prayagraj.

- During a presentation to the Chief Minister, the Urban Development Department proposed developing a theme park in Mathura as “Krishna Lok,” while two parks in Ayodhya are planned to be developed as “Shri Purushottam Darshan Anubhav Kendra” and “Luv-Kush Park.”
- These parks will also support the state government’s “Waste to Wealth” initiative.
- The proposed Krishna Lok Park in Mathura will depict various phases of Lord Krishna’s life through installations made from waste and scrap materials.
- These representations will be in 3D form, featuring interactive models enhanced by light and sound shows.
- The 3D and interactive displays will portray key events such as Krishna’s birth and his victories over Putana, Bakasur, and Kansa.
- In addition to showcasing episodes from Krishna’s life, the park will include a themed fun zone for children, incorporating elements like flutes and peacocks into swings and other play structures.
- In Ayodhya, the Luv-Kush Park will feature the Purushottam Darshan Anubhav Kendra, which will illustrate the life of Lord Ram through LED displays, murals, and interactive kiosks.
- Other sections of the Luv-Kush Park will portray the lives of Lord Ram’s sons, along with themed fun and entertainment zones.
- The park will also include selfie points adorned with murals and images of bows and arrows.
- These parks will boost tourism and enhance revenue generation for the local municipal bodies of both cities.
