  • It aims to provide internships in India’s top 500 companies to one crore youth over five years.
  • The pilot project was launched on October 3, 2024, with a target of facilitating 1.25 lakh internships in one year.

  • The Ministry of Corporate Affairs is implementing it with officers from the Indian Corporate Law Service (ICLS) cadre overseeing its execution.
  • At the regional level, the Regional Directorate (Northwestern) serves as the key implementing agency.
  • A simplified PMIS Portal and a dedicated mobile app have been developed to help users easily search and apply for internships.
  • Through this app, candidates can apply for up to three internships simultaneously, making the application process more flexible and accessible.
  • The PMIS mobile app also features a Referral Program launched by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
  • Registered users can refer other eligible candidates and earn rewards for successful referrals which is available on both the PMIS mobile app and the official web portal.
  • These platforms allow candidates to filter opportunities by district, state, sector and location radius for better accessibility and convenience.
