The Managing Director of Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRC), officially launched the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) GoSmart Card in Kanpur.

- It is developed under the ‘One Nation, One Card’ initiative, the NCMC is an interoperable transport card that can be used across multiple services, including metro trains, buses, parking facilities, and retail outlets that accept NCMC payments.
- Following its rollout in Agra Metro, the service will soon be available to Lucknow Metro passengers as well.
- With the NCMC GoSmart card, passengers can enjoy hassle-free travel nationwide, promoting seamless mobility while saving both time and energy throughout their journey.
- Using NCMC-compliant cards, Kanpur metro passengers can easily travel without needing separate ticket purchases.
- There is a 10% discount on every metro ride by using an NCMC card.
- The NCMC also supports QR ticket purchases for even more flexibility.
