Context:

The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the IIT BHU.

More On News:

  • The agreement focuses on the development of Pharma Parks in Lalitpur district in the Bundelkhand region.
  • The Pharma Parks will be established across 1,472 acres of land, spread over five villages:
    • Saidpur (426 acres)
    • Gadolikala (249 acres)
    • Largan (239 acres)
    • Karonda (116 acres)
    • Rampur (441 acres)
  • The Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology (DOPET) at IIT (BHU), Varanasi, will be the key knowledge and technology partner in the development of the Pharma Parks.
  • Companies operating within the Pharma Parks will benefit from DOPET’s research, access to skilled human resources, and innovative technological solutions.
