The National Defence Academy (NDA), Pune marked history as 17 female cadets graduated for the first time during the 148th Passing Out Parade 2025.

- The first-ever batch of 17 female cadets graduated alongside 319 male cadets marking the culmination of the 148th Course – Spring Term 2025.
- Division Cadet Shriti Daksh made history as the first female cadet to win the Silver Medal and Chief of Air Staff Trophy for topping the B.A. stream.
- A total of 1,341 cadets, including the passing-out batch, participated in the Passing Out Parade (POP) at the iconic Khetarpal Parade Ground in Khadakwasla, Maharashtra.
- After a Supreme Court verdict in 2021, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) permitted women to apply for the NDA examination for the first time.
- The cadets were conferred with B.Sc., B.A., and B.Tech. degrees from the Delhi-based Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
