Bhashini-enabled e-Shram Portal
- Recently, the Union Minister of Labour & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports, inaugurated the multilingual feature of the e-Shram portal, enabling access in all 22 Scheduled Languages.
- This initiative is in line with the goal of making e-Shram a ‘One-Stop Solution’ for unorganised workers in India, offering extensive social protection.
- The e-Shram portal was upgraded using the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology’s (MEITY) Bhashini project, which previously supported only English, Hindi, Kannada, and Marathi.
- The portal now serves a broader perspective, ensuring that workers across the country can register and benefit from various government schemes in their native languages.
