
Key Highlights of the AAI Survey (July–December 2025)

- Bareilly and Ayodhya airports were ranked 7th and 10th, respectively, underlining strong overall performance by airports in the state.
- Ayodhya entered the country’s top-10 list for the first time.
- Based on passenger response, airports in Khajuraho and Bhopal in MP, along with Aurangabad in Maharashtra, jointly secured top rank at national level.
- Khajuraho and Bhopal had topped the previous survey too.
- Prayagraj Airport achieved a score of 4.82 out of a maximum of 5.00 in the survey, which helped it climb 25 places to reach the 12th rank from its earlier 37th rank in (January-June 2025) survey.
Airport Infrastructure in UP
- 16 airports are functional in UP, Out of these, four are international airports and the fifth international airport, which will be India’s largest, will be made operational in Jewar next month.

- Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport – Lucknow
- Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport – Varanasi
- Kushinagar International Airport – Kushinagar
- Maharishi Valmiki International Airport – Ayodhya
