The Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Dairy Federation (PCDF) signed a key Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB).

- Facilities under NDDB’s management include:
- Kanpur dairy plant: Constructed at a cost of ₹160.84 crore, with a processing capacity of 4 lakh litres per day.
- Gorakhpur dairy plant: Built for ₹61.80 crore, with a capacity of 1 lakh litres per day.
- Kannauj dairy plant: Developed at ₹88.05 crore, with a daily capacity of 1 lakh litres.
- These plants had remained underutilized due to high operating costs and lack of commercial buyers and now expected to function at full capacity with NDDB management.
- The Ambedkar Nagar-based animal feed manufacturing unit, built at ₹18.44 crore, produces 100 metric tonnes of bypass protein feed daily, providing affordable cattle feed to farmers statewide.
- It is projected to generate a profit of ₹66.88 lakh in the current financial year and will also be managed by NDDB.
- The partnership focuses on ensuring timely payments to farmers, encouraging local cooperative participation, efficient use of resources, proper equipment maintenance, and minimizing unnecessary expenses.
