Tuhin Kanta Pandey
Tuhin Kanta Pandey assumed charge as the 11th chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi).
he replaced Madhabi Puri Buch, who completed her 3-year tenure.

He will serve as the Chairman for a three-year term.
He outlined four main objectives for his tenure:
1. Technology,
2. Trust,
3. Transparency, and
4. Teamwork.
Shaktikanta Das

- Former Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Shaktikanta Das, has been appointed Principal Secretary II to Prime Minister of India.
- Mr. Das served as the Governor of the RBI from 2018-2023.
- He was also a member of the 15th Finance Commission (Chairman: Mr. N K Singh).
- This is the first time there will be two principal secretaries to the prime minister since the position was created.
Chandra Shekhar Azad

- On February 27th, India paid tribute to Chandra Shekhar Azad on his 94th martyrdom day.
- Azad was a revolutionary freedom fighter against British rule and was instrumental in reorganizing the Hindustan Republican Association (HRA of Ram Prasad Bismil and Sachindranath Sanyal) in 1924 and transforming it into the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA) in 1928.
- He participated in several violent crimes, notably the Kakori train robbery (1925) and the revenge killing of a British police officer (1928).
Soliga Tribe
- The Prime Minister of India credited the Soliga tribe for increasing tiger population in the BRT Tiger Reserve of Chamarajanagar district in Karnataka.
- The Soliga, also spelled Solega, are a group of indigenous, forest-dwelling people found mostly in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
- In the local Kannada language, the Soligas are known as the ‘Children of Bamboo’.
- Around 40,000-odd Soligas live in the Chamarajanagar district of Karnataka.
- Soligas worship the tiger as a god, calling it “Dodda Nayi,” and have a temple dedicated to it.
- Soligas were the first tribal community living inside a tiger reserve to have their forest rights recognised by a court in a 2011 judgment.
