Recently, the high-power 10 KW FM transmitter at Akashvani Kokrajhar was virtually inaugurated from Guwahati, marking a key milestone in communication and cultural integration.

  • Akashvani Kokrajhar was established in 1999, It has promoted the cultural heritage of the region’s diverse tribal groups.
  • The transmitter will cover a 70 km radius, serving over 30 lakh people in Kokrajhar and surrounding districts.
  • It will enhance its connection with farmers, youth, and local communities.
  • The upgrade will also boost broadcasts of regional cultural content, including Bodo folk music and Rajbongshi songs.
